The only way to see the amazing Amazon River area is by boat, and we escorted three cruises. First was aboard the Pacific Princess, departing from San Juan, Puerto Rico, stopping at St. Thomas, Martinique, Barbados and Devil’s Island before entering the Amazon River and concluding at Manaus, Brazil. The Stella Solaris ship was our mode of transportation that began in Manaus and sailed along the Amazon to the Atlantic with ports of call the villages on the river plus Trinidad, Martinique, St. Bart’s, St. Maarten, and St. Thomas before arriving in Miami. My favorite was aboard the Columbus Caravelle that originated in Iquitos, Peru, when we explored many native villages and river tributaries along the way down the Amazon to Manaus, Brazil. |
