Sitting across from me at the Captain’s Table was Peter Hillary, guest lecturer. He has climbed Mt. Everest twice, been to the North and South Poles, was the first to cross the roof of the world (high altitude traverse of the Himalayan Range), jet-boated the sacred Ganges River in India from the Bay of Bengal to the heights of the Himalayas, plus rode a motorbike around Australia in 25 days.  This dynamic speaker takes you along with him, with a perfect blend of humor and heart-stopping tales of his adventures.  He spoke twice to a capacity audience aboard the Marco Polo. (This picture was taken in the dining room foyer following the Captain’s dinner.)
