Occasionally we spotted seals resting on the floating bergs.  This is a Leopard seal. His coat is dark grey on top with “leopard” spots on the throat, shoulders and sides.  This fellow was about 8 feet long and the zodiac driver said he was probably a young male as the adults get to be 11 feet long weighing about 700 pounds. He was all alone on this chunk of ice waiting for a penguin dinner to swim by.
