Ever since I read Thor Heyerdahl’s adventure in his raft Kon-Tiki from South America to Easter Island, I wanted to see the place for myself. I selected a trip and some of my faithful followers wanted to go also, so off we went. Seeing the up to 30 foot high stone statues by the coastline, and no one knows for sure how they placed them there from the stone quarries up in the mountain, is a real thrill! Plus our luggage was lost, and we made the whole trip of ten days without our packed clothes – very interesting.
